Cigarette Case made from solid Silver.
Inside is a very risqué, straight erotic picture: a couple having sex. The scene shows a Biedermeier Boudoir. A Poodle is watching the scene...
Made in Germany, Hallmarked Half-Moon & Crown - 835 - Rising Horse.
The silver case is in excellent condition, no dents or cracks, just normal light pocket wear.
The hand-painted picture is signed with Franke.
The picture is executed in fine detail and with great skill. The surface of the picture shows light Craquell.
I can not determine which technique the artist used, but it is not the so called hard-glass (fired) enamel.
